Mission Statement
Altmar aims to make ocean monitoring more affordable and accessible by developing novel underwater camera systems for marine robots. We aim to produce a range of high-quality cameras that can be used in marine research, fisheries, offshore oil and gas, the military, as well as other industries, to ultimately provide clients with the tools necessary to collect valuable information about the water-column and the seafloor.







Founder Description
Adam Stoer is an undergraduate student in oceanography and marine biology involved in research using autonomous underwater vehicles to better understand the seasonal and vertical distributions of phyto-plankton off the Scotian Shelf.
