What Lies Beneath: Unconventional Ocean Careers
What does a career connected to the ocean actually look like? Spoiler: it's not just marine biologists in lab coats! Halifax sits at the center of one of Canada's largest ocean clusters, and the career paths here and beyond are wider than most people realize. Science graduates working in the field will join us to talk about Oceans careers you didn't know existed, how they got there, and where it could take you.
This event is part of Careers in Focus, a program co-facilitated by SURGE and the Faculty of Science, designed to help students explore science-based career paths. Free and open to students from all fields of study.
Hear from people working in fisheries conservation, sustainable seafarming, and other ocean-connected careers you might not expect.
